Visit Chatmeter

Where it earns its keep

  • Listings, reviews, local pages, and Pulse AI, built for chains (GBP, Apple Maps, Yelp)
  • G2 about 4.5 from hundreds of multi-location marketers; dedicated CSM
  • Priced per location with unlimited users; no 8% Innovation Fee found

Where it falls short

  • Default terms: 3-year initial term, 1-year auto-renew, 60-day written notice, fees non-refundable
  • Pricing is Custom; the form still captures 1-4 locations, then puts them on enterprise paper
  • No Jobber, Housecall Pro, Dentrix, or Mindbody. Not a one-shop Google-review tool

What it actually does

Chatmeter keeps name, address, hours, and photos straight across directories, then watches and answers reviews at chain scale. Local Pages are SEO landing pages by the hundred. Pulse AI reads reviews, surveys, and social. ChatExec is an in-house team that replies for you. That is the 2026 product, now inside Alchemer after a September 24, 2025 sale (KKR). Login is still live.chatmeter.com.

It is not a phone system, not missed-call text-back, not a website chatbot. AI here drafts review replies and flags risk. It does not greet a caller. Google Business Profile and Apple Maps are first-class. There is no Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Dentrix, Mindbody, or Clio page. Healthcare customers are hospital and urgent-care networks, not a solo dentist. Take 5 (1,200-plus), A&W (550-plus), UPMC (400-plus), CareVet (175) are the proof points. A van is not.

Who should buy it

Buy it if you run 50-plus locations and your job is listings accuracy plus review volume across a franchise or health system. Their own listings blog says that is the fit, and that it is not perfect for a single-location shop. Implementation they cite from G2 is about two months. Unlimited seats, billed by location. Demo, not a public trial.

Do not buy it if you are a plumber, HVAC shop, salon, or one-office dentist. NiceJob is the Google-review drip for that shop. Birdeye is the closer cousin if you actually have multiple locations and dental software. Chatmeter will still take a 1-4 location lead on the pricing form. That is a funnel, not a product for you.

The reason not to buy is the paper they will put a small shop on. Live terms (Rev. 20210106, still the page on August 25, 2026): unless the order form says otherwise, the initial term is three years, then one-year auto-renew. Cancel is written notice at least 60 days before term end, mailed and copied to legal@chatmeter.com. Fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable. You cannot drop closed locations as a ToS right. Trustpilot, October 2022, still the lead Software Advice review in 2026: locations closed, vendor would not cut the count, silent 60-day auto-renew, buyout nearly $4,000. That dollar is one account, not a published fee. The 60-day rule is in the contract.

The verdict

G2 is about 4.5 from roughly 340 (indexed 2026 compare pages; live HTML blocked). GetApp and Software Advice 4.5 from 74. Trustpilot 3.0 from three old reviews. BBB A-plus, zero reviews, zero complaints (live HTML). Reddit: none retrieved. G2 mix is 24% small business. Birdeye on the same compare page is 55%. These are chain marketers, not trades owners.

Official price August 25, 2026: Custom. chatmeter.com/pricing is a lead form. Per location, unlimited users, no public dollar. Vendr and directory “starting at” figures are not a rate card. Do not use them. Directory count on their own site is 70-plus on the homepage and 140-plus on listings. Pick neither.

Skip. The product is real for A&W. It is the wrong buy for a one-truck shop. If you needed Google reviews at $75, NiceJob. If you needed listings plus reviews and could live with Birdeye’s 90-day notice, that is the other door. Do not sign a Chatmeter order form that keeps the three-year default.
