Visit GatherUp

Where it earns its keep

  • Public 1-location list; 300 SMS plus 3,000 email credits per location; 14-day trial, no card
  • Listings Hub is a real $40/location SKU across 125-plus directories, not a review landing page
  • Not Grade.us. GetFiveStars became GatherUp in 2018. Grade.us is a sister product

Where it falls short

  • Default $99 is annual. Monthly is $124. Listings Hub is another $40. NiceJob is $75 with Jobber native
  • FAQ says no contracts. ToS is silent on refunds. Review Defense help: 1-year minimum
  • G2 and Capterra live HTML blocked. Tiny agency pile. No plumber-owner reviews retrieved

What it actually does

GatherUp, LLC, Walnut Creek. Still live. Founded 2013 as GetFiveStars. Rebranded GatherUp in 2018. Insight Integrity Group bought GatherUp and Grade.us on December 3, 2025 and parked them with The Transparency Company. Grade.us is a sister product still at grade.us. Do not call this a Grade.us rename.

The 2026 site is agency-first: email and SMS review asks, NPS, monitoring on 100-plus sites, AI replies, widgets. Listings Hub is a paid add-on that syncs NAP to 125-plus directories including GBP, Apple Maps, Yelp, Facebook. Review Defense is a fake-review add-on. TextBack is a customer-initiated “feedback” keyword, not missed-call text-back. Web-to-Text is a contact form to SMS, still labeled BETA. No AI receptionist. No chatbot. No referrals SKU. Jobber and Housecall Pro are Zapier only. Dentrix and Mindbody are none. Clio is none. Native names are Salesforce, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, QuickBooks, Toast, Athena Health.

Who should buy it

Buy Small Business only if an agency is already running it for you, or you need Salesforce plus HIPAA-shaped healthcare workflows that NiceJob does not sell. Multi-location public bands start at $60 a location annual for 2 to 10. Agency is Custom white-label. 14-day trial, no card. SMS marketing and Web-to-Text are off during trial.

Do not buy it if you are a plumber, HVAC shop, or salon that just wanted Google reviews after the job. That is NiceJob at $75, and it talks to Jobber. Do not buy it as Podium. There is no inbox for missed calls. Do not buy it as Birdeye. Listings Hub is $40 extra and shallower.

The reason not to buy is the check versus NiceJob, and the paper versus the FAQ. Live pricing HTML August 25, 2026: one location $99 a month on the yearly toggle, $124 month-to-month. Included: 300 SMS and 3,000 email per location. Listings Hub $40. Review Defense Reveal $50 / $45, Illuminate $150 / $125, Integrity $375 / $300 per location; help says 1-year minimum. Promo SMS $10 plus $0.02 extra. FAQ: month-to-month, cancel anytime, no termination fee. Terms (July 13, 2026) are silent on term, auto-renew, and refunds. Help: no refunds for services rendered. Arbitration and class waiver. Capterra 1-star, July 2, 2025 (indexed; live Cloudflare-blocked): sales-gated pricing, dead chat, never bought. Software Advice April 2024: price up, support down. G2 2020-21: cannot pause campaigns, cannot toggle the seven follow-ups.

The verdict

G2 4.5 from 48 to 50 (Wayback February 10, 2026 had 49; live HTML DataDome 403). Capterra and Software Advice 4.6 from 41 (same Gartner pool; live HTML blocked). Trustpilot on gatherup.com: no score retrieved. Grade.us Trustpilot is two cancel reviews on the sister brand. TrustRadius about 9.5 from 3 (blocked). BBB: Grade Us, LLC, A, not accredited, one complaint in three years. No GatherUp-named BBB profile. Reddit: none retrieved. Reviewers are agencies and multi-location marketers. No named plumber, salon, HVAC, or law-firm owner bodies.

Official list August 25, 2026: $124 a month cash, $99 on annual. Directories that still print Pro $75 / Pro Plus $99 / Executive $199 are 2020 SaaSworthy. Stale. Do not use them.

Situational. If the agency needs white-label plus listings, this is a real reviews desk. If the shop needed a $75 Google drip that fires when Jobber closes the job, NiceJob. Do not sign Review Defense without reading the one-year line.
